• There is kindness and respect within members of the student body and between teachers and students.

  • The attitude students have to their work is one of seriousness and responsibility.

  • The wide variety of activities, both extra curricular and academic, help students find a place of interest where they can excel.

  • I love being a part of the Thomasville High School Scholars Academy Mathletes. The students that make up this Math Club go to tournaments to compete with their peers all over Georgia. They also do T-shirt design competitions and a math video competition for the National Math Honor Society Mu Alpha Theta. The Mathletes are also hoping to go to Six Flags over Georgia for Physics, Math, and Science Day!

  • Scholars Academy rewards positive behavior with monthly awards to students in all classes. A teacher in every class period can nominate one student, which means more students are getting rewarded!

-Mrs. Nelson

  • YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE! Please send your thoughts to Amanda at WehnerA@tcitys.org.

  • rich, deep and proud tradition in our community.

  • We have a dynamic where every student has a "group" they feel comfortable with outside of the classroom

  • Enrollment numbers allow teachers to get to know students on a much more personal level while maintaining professional boundaries.

-Coach Jones

  • Some of my favorite moments at Scholars Academy revolve around students coming in before 7 am every morning to get help with concepts where they struggle. The fact that they are willing to spend time before school shows me what kind of students they are. Previous students will come back to get help in their current class. This always makes me feel like we are supporting our students even when they are not currently on our role. It is an honor to work with such hard-working young people that are willing to go the extra mile to succeed.

  • We are all connected as Bulldogs! This is our second family. We look out for each other, grow together, cheer each other on. Working here brings good feels, knowing my kids have people I admire looking after them is even better.

-Mrs. Wehner

  • I feel like the kids here are so fortunate to go to a school where you can excel in the classroom, on the field/court AND on a stage!  We are so much more than a school!!  The arts in our school ~dance, drama, music, and art programs~ are above and beyond anything you can find anywhere else!

-Mrs. Everett

  • It's the teachers and the out-of-school experiences that make Scholars such a great place. We are fortunate to have some of the smartest, most talented and effective educators in the area.  They go above and beyond to provide world-class trips, academic competitions, and artful experiences like the Spring Musical or One Act.
