-There will be a High School Science Olympiad interest meeting this Thursday immediately after school in Mrs. Ariail’s room. This is for students in grades 9-12th only. 

-There will be a FBLA Interest Meeting tomorrow at 3:15 in Mrs. Bennett’s computer lab in the Annex Building. 

-Anyone interested in a Photo Essay Competition, please look on the Scholars Academy school website for information. The competition opens October 2 and the deadline is December 4. 

-HS students, a representative will be in the THS cafeteria during lunch on October 7th to take letterman jacket orders. You must have a $60 deposit to place an order.

-High School Yearbook picture make up day has been postponed. We will announce the new date as soon as one is decided. 

-There will be a High School FCCLA interest meeting on October 7th at 7:20 AM in Mrs. Prothro's room in the tech building at the high school. If you like working with children, helping with community service and competing in competitions, this is for you! Breakfast will be served. 

-There will be a high school girl’s basketball interest meeting on October 5th at the MPMS gym and one on October 7th at the THS new gym. Information on conditioning will be given out during those meetings. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Taylor or Coach Cooper. 

Today’s sports announcements are as follows: 

-Congratulations to the HS volleyball team on their victory over our cross town rival Thomas County Central last week, the first in program history. The softball team’s defeated Brooks County and Cook County. Also congratulations, to the HS boy’s cross country team. They placed thirteenth at the Tift County Invitational this weekend, featuring over 200 runners. 

-Today, the volleyball team will play in Lowndes County at 5:00 and the Varsity softball team will play Berrien County at home at 5:30. 

Tomorrow’s sports are as follows: 

-The Cross Country team will compete in Moultrie at 4:00.

-The 7th Grade football team will compete against Cairo at home at 5:00.

-the JV & 9th grade volleyball teams will compete against Cook County at home at 5:00.

-the Varsity softball team will play Cook High School at home tomorrow at 5:30

Oconee Ticket information is as follows: 

On Thursday and Friday, remaining General Admission, Reserved Seating, and student tickets for Friday night's football game will go on sale. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the Thomasville High School Dog Pen between 11 am and 4 pm. Reserved tickets will be $10, General Admission tickets will be $8, and Thomasville High School student tickets will be $5.
