-Middle school picture day is tomorrow from 8-10 in the multipurpose room. If you did not receive a picture form, please come to the front office to pick one up. All MS faculty and staff will need to have their picture taken as well.
-Next week is Red Ribbon Week. As we learn about drug prevention, we are encouraging students to dress up each day! You can find the list of themes on the Thomasville City Schools webpage, and we will announce them starting Friday.
-FBLA dues have been extended to Friday, October 23rd - $15.00 dues need to be paid by this Friday to Mrs. Bennett. Checks can be made out to THS FBLA.
-There will be a Georgia High School Democrats interest meeting today at 3:15 in the multipurpose room.
-High School Girl’s basketball conditioning for this week is canceled. Tryouts will be this coming Monday October 26 and Tuesday October 27. You must have a physical done before tryouts; if you show up without one, you will not be allowed to try out. Please see Coach Cooper if you have any questions.
-High School boys basketball try-out will begin on Monday Oct 26th. The try-outs will take at place THS gym starting at 5:30pm. Each participant must have a current physical in order to tryout for the team. No one will be allowed to tryout without a current physical.
There will be separate try-outs for those football players that might be interested in playing basketball at the end of the football season.
-The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will hold a general interest meeting tomorrow at 7:30 AM in the auditorium-not the multipurpose room like previously announced. Contact Coach Jones in his classroom if you have any questions.
-The PBIS Committee would like to announce that on Friday, October 30th, you can come to school dressed up as your favorite character for Character Day. In order to participate, you will need to pay $1 to your 2nd period teacher. Remember to check the handbook on page 32 for the Dress Code because it will still apply.
-Auditions for One Act Play will be rescheduled for Monday after school. More information will come soon, and new audition packets will be distributed.
-Today, the volleyball team will host Chattahoochee County in the first round of State Playoffs at 5:30 in the new gym at THS. Tickets are $8 each.
-Tomorrow, the JV football team will play Cairo at home at 5:00.
& on Friday, the Varsity football team will travel to Sylvester to play Worth Co at 7:30. Tickets can be purchased online at GoFan.com. Tickets are $8 and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Please remember that social distancing and wearing masks will be enforced at the game.
