10.26.2020 Daily Announcement

-Students, if you did not turn in a blue Chromebook Checkout form at the beginning of the school year, please come get one from the front office or ask your teacher for one. These are very important for the school to have on file. 

-Another round of the PSAT is this Thursday at 7:45am. This will be for students with the last names N-Z and students that were supposed to test on October 15, but were sent home. Please report to the multipurpose room before school on Thursday to have time to prepare for the test. 

-This week is Red Ribbon Week. As we learn about drug prevention, we are encouraging students to dress up each day! You can find the list of themes on the Thomasville City Schools webpage. Today is Camo Day, tomorrow is Team Day 

-High School Girl’s tryouts will be today and tomorrow at 3:15 in the New Gym. 

-THS boys basketball try-out are today at the THS New Gym at 5:30.  

-There will be a Key Club interest meeting tomorrow at 3:15 in Mrs. Bennett’s computer lab. Any high school student interested in helping the Kiwanis Club and the community should plan to attend.

-There will be a FBLA meeting on Wednesday, October 28th at 3:15 in Mrs. Bennett’s computer lab.

-There will be a Builders Club interest meeting on Thursday, October 29th at 3:15 in Mrs. Bennett’s computer lab.  Any middle school student interested in helping out the Kiwanis Club and the community should plan to attend.

-The next FCA meeting will be this Thursday before school at 7:30 in the multipurpose room

-The PBIS Committee would like to announce that this Friday, October 30th, you can come to school dressed up as your favorite character for Character Day. In order to participate, you will need to pay $1 to your 2nd period teacher. Remember to check the handbook on page 32 for the Dress Code because it will still apply.

-Tomorrow, the Cross Country team will compete at 10:00 in the AA Region Championship.

-This Friday, the Varsity football team will play at home against Cook County. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday and Friday. Student tickets will be $5 and the student section will be back on the home side. Please wear pink in support of breast cancer research.
