10.28.2020 Daily Announcements

-Students, if you did not turn in a blue Chromebook Checkout form at the beginning of the school year, please come get one from the front office or ask your teacher for one. These are very important for the school to have on file. 

-Students please check your email and vote for your “Teacher of the Month”. Teachers, also check your email and vote for your “Student of the Month”. Votes are due by today. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Godinez. 

-The Wiregrass Gallery downtown is having an exhibit of one of our student's works on Saturday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Please stop by and show support of Jessica Jones on Saturday.

-Another round of the PSAT is tomorrow at 7:45am. This will be for students with the last names N-Z and students that were supposed to test on October 15, but were sent home. Please report to the multipurpose room at 7:45 tomorrow to have time to prepare for the test. 

-This week is Red Ribbon Week. As we learn about drug prevention, we are encouraging students to dress up each day! Today is Boot Day, tomorrow is Pink Day.

-There will be a Key Club interest meeting today at 3:15 in Mrs. Bennett’s computer lab. Any high school student interested in helping the Kiwanis Club and the community should plan to attend.

-There will be a FBLA meeting today October 28th at 3:15 in Mrs. Bennett’s computer lab.

-There will be a Builders Club interest meeting tomorrow at 3:15 in Mrs. Bennett’s computer lab.  Any middle school student interested in helping out the Kiwanis Club and the community should plan to attend.

-The next FCA meeting will be tomorrow before school at 7:30 in the auditorium- not the multipurpose room like previously announced 

-The PBIS Committee would like to announce that this Friday, October 30th, you can come to school dressed up as your favorite character for Character Day. In order to participate, you will need to pay $1 to your 2nd period teacher. Remember to check the handbook on page 32 for the Dress Code because it will still apply.

- Girl’s soccer will hold an interest meeting tomorrow in the auditorium. If you are a 6th-12th grade girl interested in trying out for soccer please plan to attend immediately after school on Thursday. Information on conditioning, tryouts, and the season schedule will be provided. 

-This Friday, the Varsity football team will play at home against Cook County. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow and Friday at the Dog Pen and online at GoFan.com. Student tickets will be $5 and the student section will be back on the home side. Please wear pink in support of breast cancer research.
