final four

The Thomasville High School Bulldogs Basketball Team will host the Pace Academy Knights Saturday at 6:30 pm at the Thomasville High School Gymnasium in the Georgia High School Association's AA Semifinals. Gates to the contest will open at 5:30 pm. The Georgia High School Association performed the infamous "coin flip" to determine the playoff site for teams of an equal seed on Monday. The "coin flip" went in Thomasville's favor to host the championship tournament contest.

With the contest being a Georgia High School Association Tournament contest, the Georgia High School Association requires the host and visiting teams to split all tickets that go on sale to the public.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the gymnasium will operate under a reduced capacity restriction. Tickets for the contest will be $7.00. Parents of Thomasville High School Basketball players and cheerleaders will have the first opportunity to purchase an allocated portion of tickets. Tickets will then go on sale to the Thomasville High School students and community on a first-come, first-serve basis on Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm or until Thomasville's allotted tickets are sold out. If any tickets remain, they will be sold at the gate until none remain. Faculty passes will not be honored in the playoffs. The only passes that are honored are GHSA passes and those who hold those passes must sign in at the GHSA booth at the gymnasium. Every person who enters the gymnasium must have a ticket.

GHSA Bylaw 2.97-Admission Fees for State Playoff Contests are set by the GHSA and are published in the various sports sections of the bylaws or on the GHSA website.

 (a) "Babies in arms" are admitted free of charge to all events in the company of a ticket or pass holder.

(b) There is no admission fee for Golf, Riflery, Literary or One-Act Play.

(c) College and University coaches may attend GHSA playoff contests free of charge with proper ID.

Thomasville High School will operate at a reduced capacity for the semifinals of the GHSA Playoffs. Face coverings (over the nose and mouth) shall be required as a condition of all guest entrance, exit, and movement throughout the gymnasium and any time guests are unable to maintain the recommended physical distance from others who are not in the same household. For those unable to attend the contest, the game will be streamed on the NFHS network.
