The THS girls and boys track teams were in Fitzgerald yesterday competing in the Region 1 2A championship.
The girls finished 3rd overall in the region and had 3 individuals and two relay teams qualifying for Sectional competition next weekend.
Misprecious Thomas qualified in the 200-meter dash with a 3rd place finish.
Shanice Madison qualified in two individual events, the 400-meter dash with a 3rd place finish and the Triple Jump with a second place finish.
Jakiya Kitchen with a 3rd place finish in the Shot put.
The 4x100 meter relay of Aryanna Norwood, Jabria Richardson, Amaryah Mckinnie and Misprecious Thomas qualified with a 3rd place finish.
The 4x400 meter relay of Miracle Brinson, Jabria Richardson, Amaryah Mckinnie and Misprecious Thomas qualified with a 2rd place finish.
The boys also finished 3rd overall in the region and had 10 individuals and three relay teams qualifying for Sectional competition.
Jordan Williams qualified in the 100 meter dash with a 4th place finish.
Stefon Henderson in the 200 meter dash with a 2nd place finish, Stefon also broke a school record placing 2th in Triple Jump with a jump of 41 feet 6 inches.

Mark futch in discus with a 3rd place finish
Thomas Speed in discus with a 4th place finish.
Jo Williams in Long Jump with a 1st place finish.
Jordan Williams in the 200 meter dash with a 4rd place finish.
Nolan Barnes in the 400 meter dash with a 2nd place finish. Nolan not only qualified in High Jump with a 1st place finish, he also tied the school record with his jump of 6 feet 2 inches.
Aleek Graham in the 800 meter run with a 3rd place finish.
Oxzavier Rivers in two individual events, the 110 meter hurdles with a 3rd place finish and the 1600 meter run with a fourth place finish.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Ricky Fulton, Jo Williams, Jordan Williams and Nolan Barnes qualified with a 1st place finish.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Aleek Graham, Jo Williams, Jordan Williams and Nolan Barnes qualified with a 2nd place finish.
The 4x800 meter relay team of Aleek Graham, Xavier Rivers, Ronnie Baker and Nolan Barnes qualified with a 3rd place finish.
