-Scholars Academy would like to congratulate the new 2021 Mr. And Miss. Sadie Hawkins!

7th grade representatives were Charles Ward and Caroline Sanders. 

And last, but certainly not least, your 8th grade representatives were Camden Rodriguez and Kyli Alexander!

Scholars Academy would also like to say thank you to all the parents and faculty who helped make the annual Sadie Dance another great success.

-Congratulations to Mrs. Strausser's Spelling Bee winners that will move on to the school-wide spelling bee on Dec. 3.

-High School Picture Makeup Day has been rescheduled for after Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, December 1st. Seniors will report to the THS gymnasium at 8:00am for retakes, and the underclassmen will take pictures on both SA & THS campuses. 

-The THS Book Club will be sponsoring a book drive from Nov. 15- Dec. 17 in connection with the Thomas County Library.  Please donate gently-used books for all ages that you have around the house to Ms. Strausser in her classroom at SA. 

-Mrs. Knop's 5th period Peer Leadership class is doing a fundraiser to raise  money to adopt a family for Christmas. Your 2nd period teacher will have a collection bag and there will be students from the class at all 3 lunches. If high school students would like to donate during lunch they can do so in the cafeteria. Otherwise they can make donations in the 2nd period. We need everyone's help to make this a Christmas some children will never forget. 

-This upcoming week our One Act Play team will compete in the AA State Championship on Saturday. In order to help raise funds for their trip to Forsyth, the cast and crew will be putting on a performance Thursday night at 7:30 in the MPMS Auditorium. Admission will be $5. 

-MS Baseball tryouts will be in December. You must have a physical on file with the school nurse to participate. Please contact Coach Kelly McDougald at MPMS Room 140 for more information or see the flier on the cafeteria door. 

-MS Boys & Girls soccer tryouts will be held this Tuesday and Wednesday on the practice field behind the MS Cafeteria. You must have a physical on file with the nurse to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Sims or Mr. Peterson. 

-Girls Soccer conditioning will be every Mon., Tues., & Thurs from 3:15-4:30 at the THS Track. Please bring both tennis shoes and cleats as well as your own water.

-Today, the 7th Grade basketball team will play at Thomas County Central at 4:30

-Tomorrow, the 8th Grade basketball team will play at home versus Worth County at 4:30. 

-Congratulations to the Bulldogs Football team for an impressive 42-7 victory over Washington County on Friday night. It was great to see the student section in full force and the stands filled with fans! A special thank you goes out to the AFJROTC, Marching Bulldog Band, Red Hots, Dance Dawgs, and Cheerleaders for all the hard work they put in to create this unbelievable atmosphere for our community.With the victory, the Bulldogs will take on the Heard County Braves this Friday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium with kickoff set for 8:00. Ticket pricing and information will be released later today.
