Ms. Laing's All Stars read for the most minutes of any team during READBowl 2024 with a total of 35,620 minutes! We celebrated their hard work with a pizza party!!

Some of our third grade students at Scott Elementary participated in CoLab, a partnership with Thomasville Center for the Arts and Cross Creek Elementary. During this program, students work together to learn about ecosystems and natural communities in the environment. This last meeting was held at Gentian Creek Preserve and students were able to interact with animals from Tallahassee Museum. Read more about this story in Thomasville Times-Enterprise:

Our students at Scott Elementary have had a great time using our new Active Floor. This interactive floor encourages movement and reinforces concepts taught in our curriculum.



Keep Thomas County Beautiful is hosting a Fruit Tree Workshop on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00am. Plese make plans to attend to learn more about gardening and healthy eating.


Pre-K students in Mrs. West & Walden's class have fun pretending to sell and purchase smoothies! Special thank you to Ellianos Coffee of Thomasville, GA for donating smoothie cups, straws and cup holders!

Happy School Counselor's Week to the one and only Mrs. Copps! She is always listening, encouraging, and going above and beyond to support our entire school community at Scott Elementary. Thank you for all that you do, Mrs. Copps. We are so thankful for you!


Last week Mrs. Cooper's class read the story “Where does food come from?” and learned that butter, milk, and ice cream come from cows. The students really enjoyed making their own butter in class and eating it on sliced bread.






Mrs. Harris/Horne's Pre-K Class is 100 days brighter! They celebrated with a glow party, stem activities, and counting out 100 snacks.

Mrs. West & Walden's Pre-K Class Celebrate 100 Days of School!





Today is our 99th day of the school year, which means tomorrow we will be celebrating 100 days of learning! Don't forget to come to school tomorrow dressed up like you are 100 years old!


Students meeting or exceeding their MAPS Benchmark were able to enjoy a fun-filled day at the Flint River Aquarium. Thank you to Thomasville National Bank for making this possible!
