🔒💻 Thomasville High Students Step into the World of Cybersecurity! 💻🔒 Students from Thomasville High School recently took on the role of ethical hackers in an exciting CyberRange activity led by Tyler Kinner, a Research Scientist with Georgia Tech’s GTRI! 🏫⚡ Their mission? 🚀 To hack into Georgia Tech’s George P. Burdell’s Laboratory and take control of an Internet of Things (IoT) device—just like real-world penetration testers (pentesters)! This hands-on experience introduced students to the fast-growing field of cybersecurity and gave them a glimpse into potential careers in ethical hacking and digital defense. A special THANK YOU to THS ROTC, Capt. Hunnewell, former cadet with the Thomasville High School AFJROTC program, was commissioned after attending the AFROTC program at Valdosta State University. Upon graduation, he was selected to participate in the MQ-9A Reaper program. During a recent deployment, Capt. Hunnewell secured a flag on his aircraft during Operation Inherent Resolve and presented that flag to current cadets at Thomasville High School." 🎖️✈️ This incredible moment symbolizes dedication, honor, and the lasting impact of our AFJROTC program. 🎉 Congratulations to Dhruket Patel on being elected to represent Region 9 for the 2025-2026 year! From March 5-8, over 5,000 members, advisors, and guests gathered in Atlanta for the Georgia HOSA State Leadership Conference. This exciting event was packed with competitions, educational symposiums, exhibitors, and workshops. Medals were awarded, scholarships were presented, and new officers were sworn in — including our very own Dhruket Patel!
