🎓💼 From Campus to Careers! Students and parents from Thomasville High School recently participated in the Campus 2 Careers event, hosted by Imagine Thomasville and the Thomasville Chamber of Commerce. The day was filled with hands-on learning and real-world connections: 🏭 Industry tours included Pursuit Aerospace and Xylem. 🎓 Educational tours featured Southern Regional Technical College’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. 🍽️ The event wrapped up with a networking dinner and roundtable discussion with representatives from SRTC, Cleaver Brooks, RedGuard, and Checkmate. Our Bulldogs gained valuable insight into local career pathways and opportunities right here in our community! ❤️🐾 #ThomasvilleHighSchool #BulldogPlusOne #Campus2Careers #CareerConnections #CollegeAndCareerReady #ThomasvilleCitySchools #CommunityPartners

A+ Teacher Spotlight

🎉🎩🎭Congratulations to Mrs. Brantley Ivey, our middle and high school drama teacher. 🎭🎩🎉

A graduate of the Thomasville Scholars Academy, Mrs. Ivey brings a proud heritage and honored tradition to our halls. The Scholars Academy One Act Play are proud REGION CHAMPS preparing for their state competition. This feat is a direct result of Mrs. Ivey’s skill sets: much time researching, tons of devoted energy, and lessons designed for engagement and seeking truth. As the leader of our school's theatre program, Mrs. Ivey is committed to having a wide range of students and to building mentors who serve and support the younger generations. Mrs. Ivey applied and was awarded “The Young are at the Gates” grant to produce and perform the Broadway musical “Suffs” in the spring. Mrs. Ivey, you are a driving force in our school community, and we thank you!

🎉🐾🌹Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer Shiver!🎉🐾🌹 Transferring from Jerger Elementary, Mrs. Shiver has demonstrated that she is an asset at Scholars this year. In addition to appreciating her high standards and expectations of students in seventh grade English Language Arts and journalism class, we value her willingness to go the extra mile; Mrs. Shiver was one of the sponsors for the Science Academy trip. Her journalism students have interviewed and published their writing and participated in extra curricular writing competitions. Additionally, Mrs. Shiver supports her fellow teachers' initiatives like the Sadie Hawkins Dance. Thank you for being an integral part of the Scholars Academy and a loyal Bulldog! Our school would not be the same without you.

🎓💼 We’re Back with Our Bulldog Networking Lunch!

Last Wednesday, Mrs. Stanaland’s Work-Based Learning class had the opportunity to connect with Ms. Andrea Jarzyniecki, Executive Director of Pharmacy at Archbold Medical Center right here in Thomasville.

Ms. Jarzyniecki shared her journey—from her own high school and college experiences to her current leadership role in the medical field. She gave our students a behind-the-scenes look at both traditional and non-traditional career paths in pharmacy and the medical profession overall.

Our Bulldogs were inspired by her insights, advice, and encouragement to explore the many possibilities that align with their interests and talents. 💡

We are incredibly grateful for Ms. Jarzyniecki’s visit and for her willingness to pour into our students. She was truly a wealth of knowledge, staying true to our Bulldog +1 initiative—creating and sharing opportunities that help students discover their potential and take that next step beyond graduation. ❤️🐾
